D.N.A. Guiding & Consulting is limited to  bear tags per year in our area.  We offer the option of a spring  or a fall hunt to our clients.  Success rates are generally 100%, but occasionally a hunter may not see a bear that is up to his or her standards.  Saskatchewan boasts many color phase bears and our area is no exception.  Forty to Sixty percent of our harvest will be color phase.  We have had ‘monster’ bears, weighing over 400 pounds with skulls over 20 inches, harvested from this area in recent years.

All our bear hunting is from tree stands over bait.  Stands are accessible by ATV and are located at least two to three miles apart.  Hunting is done from 4:00pm until dark, so the rest of the day is yours to relax.  Local recreational opportunities include; fishing, golfing (2 local courses, rated within top 10 of Canada), shopping & restaurants in the National Park town site of Waskesiu, many photograph opportunities, 200 miles of interpretive trails for walking, and one million acres of federal reserve. The federal reserve hosts the largest pelican breading area in the world, a large population of bald eagles, elk, fox, whitetail, and wild buffalo, to mention a few.
